Strata 6e HKSU 701 w/ 5 EKT6510H handsets. 3 lines coming into building. What do I need to add a cordless to this system ? I just need to answer and put on hold, not transfer,the lines (or 1-2 of them) that ring from the cordless.

Toshiba didnt have a cordless for this system when it came out 20 + years ago.

Your best bet may be 2 line cordless and put it before your system ,you wont have system features ,but it will allow you to pick up a call in remote location away from sets.

To fill your request you need to upgrade to a newer system .

I was curious about putting the cordless before the system.....but...will it "affect" the system such as if I put a call on hold from the cordless....will I be able to go to the handsets and pick up the call there ? Any other comments on doing it this way ?

If you put the cordless before the system you will be able to go to any EKT and pick the line up. You just won't see a light, there is no privacy and the call will still be on hold at the cordless and may stay on hold even after the conversation has ended. Good luck. Russ
