I have a used DK16 system that I'm trying to get running. It has 4) DKT2010-SD and (1) DKT2020-SD phones. I just replaced the hookswitches on all the phones to correct a problem where the handsets on most of the phones were non-functional. I also initially had a problem with one of the 10-buttons phones not ringing.
Now after replacing the hookswitches, all the handsets work, but none of the 10-button phones ring. Only the 20-button phone does. Apart from replacing the hookswitches, the only other thing I can note is that though the KSU has been plugged in the whole time, the power supply has been switched off for 11 days.
I should also say that the only programming I did 10 days ago was the 3 basic initialization programs (90, 92 and 03), plus date and time.
Anyone know what's going on with this?

Make sure in program 81 that all ext's are programmed to ring. 81 is for imediate ringing. Let me know if I can be of further help. This board is full of great advice.

Also if it was working before and not now it may have had day and night settings and all the phones ring in night mode. So Jules is right check 81 and if the answer isnt there check 87 for night programming.

I think you're onto something. The 20-button phone that does ring is at station 10.

Have you checked 39 for line asignment? It is looks to me you defaulted settings and only ext. 10 has all lines appiarance and ringing. If lines are there then all guys are right: Pg.81&87 is the way.

This was not a finely controlled experiment to find the exact cause, but I reinitialized Progs 90, 92, 03 and then added 81 and 87 and assigned ringing at all stations from all CO lines in both day and night mode -- and got the default sort of behavior I wanted.
I don't know how to explain the change in ring behavior from when I first installed other than to note that the KSU was switched off for 11 days.
Thanks to all, and especially to Jules and Wire Rate!
