This is a great system but only having 6 lines is ridiculous. When you go to the 7th line the price for a CIX 100 is almost double.

Is Toshiba planning to expand anytime soon?

I would doubt it! However the Dealer meeting is in 2 weeks you can't tell what them may announce! I know they are coming out with a new voice mail, MAY make the 100 more cost effective but won't know until then.

Here is what Toshiba says about the new voicemail:

I bet it is just a replacement for the IVP8 with a simular price tag and a lot more storage space plus Softkeys, etc.

I heard the Cix 40 will be able to expand to nine lines by using the IP slot for a line card..

Anyone else heard this?

Your close, it will either be 10 or 11 depending on old cabinet or new, from what I understand.

do you mean CTX (old) or CIX (new)?

The LVMU proces out a bit lower than the IVP8 in CIX quote.

I think what breed means is the CTX 28 or CIX 40.

Wish they would expand number of phones instead number of lines!!

Base cab- 4 x 8

VM- LVMU instead of GVPH

GCDU2- 3 x 8 expansion

either new 4-port line card or 8 IP Phones or IP Networking ports.
