Anyone know anything about replacing the LCD display board on the Toshiba EKT6000 series display phones? I have one here where the output has become faint. It's a 2-line, 16-character display (7cm x 2.5cm) with HD44100 and HD44780 chips. It has a ribbon connector with 18 conductors + a separate white wire (ground?). Also 3 tactile switches on the right side. Screen-printed on the board is Toshiba, TLC-492 and KS92. Also, these phones use a combination tactile switch + red LED device for the 10/20-button flexible key array (CO lines, etc). Anyone know where to get those?

We have not been able to locate new replacements for those displays for ages. We are down to using good used ones from parts phones if we get one in with a bad display. I doubt that you will find them new anywhere. If you really want to replace the LCD instead of the phone, I suggest looking for some parts phones on E-Bay.
