Last week I replaced a Paetek T1 with a Broadview integrated T1 on my client's DK424. After I put the new T1 in the client told me they had no dial tone any longer on the T1. I explained that they could still make calls and it should not be an issue. Well, for this client it is a huge issue. Unfortunately Broadview told my client that their DK424 is the problem and have convinced the client that the T1 is supplying dial tone but the phone system is not passing it through. Other than LCR is there anyway to pass dial tone on a per trunk basis to the end user? I am quite certain that this can not be done but wanted to verify before telling the client it is a Broadview issue.

Can you break out the channels on the T-1 to prove NDT from supplier? What are the trunks on the T-1 conditioned for, wink, immediate, delay? Sounds like a supplier problem to me, but looks like you'll have to prove it.

Check with Broadview - I beleie they need to provide the dial tone. I had this come up with a T-1 from Time Warner and it was them not the DK/CTX systme that had to provide it.

was ther dial tone on the Paetek T1 ? If so did you make any program changes, if no changes were made sounds like a Broadview problem.

DK424 will not provide the dialtone. The provider has to enable it on their end.

all settings are the same as the paetek. DID wink, nothing changed, not even number of digits or DID numbers. All i needed to change was the straight thru to crossover cable. One change though is it is now an integrated T1 with router giving me 16 instead of the full 24 I had. Kept prog 03 at 74 for 24 channels and removed last 8 in prog 16.
I can break out all the channels and all have no dial tone. Thanks for your input everyone!
