I have a customer that has a four port IVP8R2 and wants to upgrade to a eight port VM that I have here in my office. I have taken all of the customers messages and data base off of the flash memory card and put it onto the replacement VM. When I boot the replacement VM I am able to get into programming and I can see that customers data but the VM will not answer on any of the port. All I get is a ring no answer. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure you put it in the same card slot? Not to insult your intelligence, but there has got to be something simple you missed here. Its those simple little things that get me scratchin my head all the time. Either that or the replacement voicemail is hosed. Start by making sure that all the voicemail ports are programmed correctly. If you have to, delete the port programming and start over. Maybe switch it to a different card slot.

you should do the backup and restore through admin...
I would do a plug and play on the 8 port card and make sure you can get it back to answering then do the backup from the old card and restore to the 8 port ivp from admin
