I have a customer with a Toshiba DK-16E / 40I upgrade. They have a Stratagy Voicebrick. 4 port. A few days ago the customer started receiving complaints that no one could leave a message. Everytime I called it worked. Well finally it doesn't.

When you call and get an extension's greeting, the greeting plays. Then system plays message about leaving message after beep. THEN it says SORRY, THAT OPERATION CANNOT BE COMPLETED. Your message was not saved.

I am unable to login to the voicemail with my laptop. I have tried multiple laptops and even made a new cable.

What to do now??? :bang:

Sounds like there is a mailbox that has a bunch of messages in it. Check mailbox "0" , if you can't log into it with a laptop, check it through the phone. When you try to log into it via a laptop , what is it doing, does it say Stratagy not connected, incorrect password ??

Check General Delivery MB. It's probably full.

As Steve Pointed out, check mailbox 0. That one is most commonly not used but records messages by default. That would be the only default box, if you want to call something a "General Delivery" box.
Another big problem is that people don't delete old messages after they listen to them.

Not sure if voicebrick is the US version on the UK's flash but if it is check the usage and disk space on the front screen, see what they are, if its nearly full go into boxlist and see who has got lots of messages then get them to erase them, then shutdown the admin tool and run a hyperterminal session 115200,8,n,1 , reboot the startagy and check for errors

I'm going over there this morning. I'll check phones for messages. Hopefully that's it.

Okay, I think problem is resolved. For some odd reason tons of previously "deleted" voicemails came back and filled many users mailboxes. After having all users clean out these messages ( totaling over 100 messages) callers can now leave messages.

Thanks for everyone's help
