I am the IT for very small hotel wherein we have a Toshiba Strata DK424 and a Call Accounting recording/posting calls to our hotel Property Management system. So I'm not a Toshiba Tech and I am not a Call Accounting Tech - I'm the in between-er. The Problem, the call accounting software is picking up all the outbound calls but not a single inbound call. We have a RJ12 to a serial 9pin connection from the Toshiba to the Server.
The Call Accounting people say it's the Toshiba programing. Is this true? What do I asked the phone techs to do or is it something I can do from the main phone console.
I know this a really lame question :bang: but I just doesn't know the answer and I'm trying to avoid the "it's at their end"
Thanks for the help Santaslidahelper

I would suspect that it's on the Toshiba side. Have your tech check program 60-1 and 60-3.

In Program 60, section 2, item 3 needs to be 1 for both incoming and outgoing.
If it is set to 0, you get outgoing only.
Hey phonemeister, when do we see an updated picture of your kid?

Frankly, I don't remember how I did it and I really don't look forward to trying again. At least not now. I'll get around to it someday. She certainly isn't a baby anymore!

Get a pc/laptop set up Hyper Terminal, you might have to try a few different port settings, 9600,4800,2400,1200 8,n,1 ( even 7,e,1 sometimes) then take the serial lead from your server com port and connect into your com port and make some calls in and out and see what you get, at least this way you can pinpont the fault, if nothing appears after a call check com settings.

Ok, thanks for the help. Here what happened. The tech changed the setting for 60 stuff(many thanks on the numbers-and you know why) We were picked up the calls. But. BUT. the calls don't list incoming phone number on the report. Just the date and time stamp. We have run out of card slots in the single wall mount unit. So he can go find another box to expand into or just leave things as is. I promised him lunch but he came before lunch so he was happy with a great breakfast and coffee. Even though our staff pushed for latte it was straight black coffee. Many Thanks for the help. And keep the picture "phonemeister" you made the day in our office when I told them who was helping us. Great to hear that it worked. As for the incoming call numbers, I am afraid you'd have to have the CallerID cards RCIU and RCIS installed along to the existing CO Line cards, RCOU and RCOS.
