HI! I am trying to use Uadmin2.1 on my IBM Lenovo T43 Laptop, how do i force it to use Com1 can't seem to do it even when i disable other com ports?? I tried to load it on my older toshiba laptop doesn't operate or start up the program right?? Any ideas ??I am trying to get into Stratagy Flash. :confused:

When UAdmin starts the choices are Connect or Configure. Choose (2)
Configure Stratagy Admin. Then Choose COM! using F2 to make the selection. Enter..Enter..Enter to get back to the Connect screen and try again.

I recommend getting the new VM Manager Ver.8. Its windows based and works very well.

Thanks Voyager!! I have done the above suggestions, it says :Connecting,Please Wait,, But never connects?? I don't think i can get the VM Manager Ver.8??

What kind of cable are you using to connect to the Flash?

SSPHONE ,,I am using the 9 pin Null Cable i have tried to load the Uadmin2.1 on my Older laptop Win98se to use serial port com1 but it comes up with a : Dos box titled Finished-Microsoft Mail-Admin and in the dos box says : /T[n] Trace to 'trace.out';flush every n lines 2nd line says : /S[n] Limit trace to n KB. Thats what shows up when i fire up Uadmin2.1 eek I don't know what version of stratagy flash it is. I have tried hyper terminal on it and get some sort of handshake letters . Also tried Stratagy VM Manager 1.4 , its says serial baud rate or parameter error or modem is turned off. Something to that effect. I tried on my Ibm laptop but it is impossible to use the Com1 port or 2. Some days i just wanna :bang:

Have you tried to switch your com port to 2 , I have never had any luck when tring to use com1 , so I make the laptop modem com1 and the serial port com2 .

Thanks steve i will try that, running out of ideas, is there a way to find software version thru telephone admin?? Thanks

If you have VM Manager you should be OK
