Hi guys having a fun problem on a toshiba CT system on the latsest versions of software on cpu and ISDN30 cards. Customer receives a call on the main number, they then transfer the number out onto a nother number, which comes back into a different department on same system. When the call is answered by the department they can not hear the caller (one way transmission) After a system reset this fault is not present for a few days but does return.

hmmmm.
One question, why are they transferring the call out of the system if they are transferring the call to someone on the same system? Why don't they transfer to the extension of the party?

What is happening here is the Conf Circuit is bad on the CPU. You will continue to have this issue until it is replaced, a reset of the system most always brings the circuit back to life.
Check the OLG Prg 306 FB08 for the COS of the OLG
Make sure, just for grins and giggles that Tandem connection is enabled in COS for the Trks System > COS > FB26 = Enabled
Just for a test, the next time this happens, setup and manual Conf Call Station + Trk + Trk, if it fails then it is the CPU.

TadiranTechTexas is correct about this operation. If the Trunk they are transferring to is terminated to a Hunt Grp DN or a DN itself, just transfer there. I think that this application has exposed the bad Conf circuit on the CIX.
