Hi All, On a CTX670 W/IVP8 R2.
I have 6 3020-SD sets that have the MW light flashing and will not go out.
When you push the MW button the LCD flashes very quickly and you do not get sent to any ext. The LCD flahes so fast that you cannot see any data. However, on one attempt I did see the X255 displayed, but only briefly, wont do it again for me.
I went to X255 and there was no phone plugged in, plugged one in and attmpted the #64+ext number, I could get as far as entering only two digits of the three digit ext number and it stopped.
I tried the ICM#409 at all of the sets and all I get is a busy signal.
I deleted the MB and went into emanager and disabled the MW in station programming for one of the ext. it did not work, still flashing.
Twice I shut down with scan disk on the VM, still negative.
OPEN to suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: Still on site.
Tested system by leaving VM with uneffected set and turned on light, then turned off using #409, so it works on other sets. Also did same with station to station leave message function, got same result, worked fine.
continued to run #409 on sets, up to 60 times, no worky light still on.

Delete the station(s) and recreate.

Thanks phonemeister,
Any idea how this happened or what causes same?
I did notice that someone had brought in a few Panasonic Digital sets. I thought that possibly someone had plugged one into the Toshiba system.

I get that all the time when I swap voicemail systems and don't clear out all the MSG lights first. Obviously that is not the case here, but if something happens to the extension that turned on the light, then you can not clear it. That is why I always disable all extensions the ability to turn on the message light.
Another possibility is that there is a phantom on the extension that has it's message light on. You would have to press the phantom key before entering #409.
Sometimes it is just a mystery. I have seen a few cases where the light just won't go out and have to rebuild the extension.

Have had this problem as well, and have had to delete and rebuild extension. But sometimes I have done Int#409 repeatedly, and Int#64xxx repeatedly, with no change, but when I unplugged the phone for a minute, and reconnected, the message light turned off.
