I am setting up a new windows 7 laptop and I have the newest Network eManager installed and I need to setup the remoteCTX connection but I've never set this up before on windows 7 and this is also the first time I've used window 7 so some of the things are different from XP. If anyone has the instructions to set this up it would be helpful. Thanks

If you are referring to the dial-up, it should have built that, during the install, if you have a MoDem connection. If you are referring to building a new customer profile, it is the same as XP.

you have to create the RemoteCTX1 manually yourself as a "connection to your workplace" not VPN or Internet. you will need to put a phone number in the setup but after the wizard has finished you can remove it from the "properties" window. Don't forget to give it the correct IP address to use as well.

I copied my setting from my old PC with windows XP and i still cant get this to work. The new install did not set up the connection for me but I have it set up. When I go to connect in emanager it says, "the system could not find the phone book entry for this connection"
Any ideas

You can use any modem that is correctly installed on the PC

I know this was a few days ago but did you upload your database or start from scatch? If you log in to Network Emanager as the default user do you get the same problem? Which version of Network Emanager are you using?
I have had problems with modems and Network Emanager particularly usb modems not giving a stable connection but the error message you get suggests it can't see anything in the client equipment dialup field.
