We have a two year old system in our public school district that we paid approx $XXXXXX for. We have no money to pay for Adds/Moves/Changes. Our system is out of warranty. Our vendor gave me a copy of Network eManager with no instructions and we paid them $XXX to establish static IP addresses for our CIX and IES16 so that we could manage them ourselves. I have been able to access the CIX but now he tells me we need a different software, at $XXX, to manage the IES16. I suspect he is talking about ES Admin but he won't tell me. I already have that software but apparently he changed the password so that we can't manage our own system. Can anybody please direct me to instructions for resetting the password to default so we can manage our system?

If you are unhappy with your vendor, you are free to use another. But, you can expect to pay them for the work. It is against this board's policy to provide passwords or instructions on how to defeat or get around them. A Toshiba dealer can reset passwords for any of the admin software that you may have.

I think the dealer has an ethical duty to reset the passwords to default.
You paid for the system which came in a default state. You paid for the labor and they changed the password which locked you out. This is not ethical.
I would contact Toshiba and ask that they tell the dealer to modem into the system and reset the passwords to default and tell you what those default passwords are as you have paid them for this labor.

Thank you for the comments and suggestions. Sorry, I didn't realize I shouldn't include prices but I've gotten very frustrated by this vendor's lack of cooperation. I am not actually asking for any passwords, I already possess the defaults. I too think it is unethical for someone to change OUR passwords after we paid them for the system and the labor to make it accessible. I am attempting to contact Toshiba, but they appear to prefer that, for commercial phone systems, a dealer be contacted. We did buy the system and have it installed by a legit Toshiba dealer, including the understanding that we would be managing it ourselves. Apparently they don't really want to allow us to do that, but NJ school finances being what they are today, we have no choice.

If you paid the dealer with the understanding that you would manage the software and the dealer changed the password, it would be time to send a certified letter to the dealer specifying that they are to modem into the system and change the password to default or see you in small claims court.
Neither the dealer nor Toshiba want to take the time or trouble to show up in small claims court AND you have PAID for the access so in this case it is not seeking something for nothing it is seeking what you have paid for.
Secondly, dealers know what trouble schools are in. I would get a list of everyone who advertises Toshiba service in your area and send them a letter such as:
Dear Toshiba Dealer/Technician:
Our school needs help and we are not asking for money. Please come in and help us administer our Toshiba phone and voicemail system. Please teach us to do our own administration. We will be happy to give you a donation letter for you taxes. Most of you must have children in schools and can appreciate our situation, please help us.
Now instead of dealing with some uncooperative schmuck, you will find that there are a load of wonderful Toshiba techs out there that are generous and gracious and would be pleased to help you out of a bind, after all they have kids too.
Don't get pricked by the needle in the haystack, go look for the gold in the haystack.

PS many dealers here could email you the latest software for the CIX and the voicemail if you specified what level of software you had and what voicemail you had.
You are not the grubby corporation looking for something for nothing but a school that got stuck with a poorly performing dealer and people here would be happy to help you.
