We have an employee who moved out of state and her Supervisor wants her to get calls from the office. We have an Mitel 3300 IP system just installed, but the supervisor does not want to pay for the license for Teleworker. Currently her ext is just on the sx2000 the rest of the sttaff are on. We have tried notifing a pager in VM when a message is left, but her location is just on the edge of our pager company's range. Her local telco suggested checking the inernet for a "forwarding company" to do this. Her ext here is an internal number, but I could change it to a DID.She is also thinking of getting an 800 number we could reroute the calls to. Anyone have any ideas?

If Vonage or another consumer VoIP company has local numbers where your office is located sign up for that and forward her calls back out to the local to you number. You can avoid toll for the calls then. If you don't want to use IP phones then give her a cell phone local to your office.

Geeze, I could easily do what you want with a Partner system and Centrex. Can that fancy IP system do a Centrex transfer when a call is sent to her extension?
