Anyone ever figure out a way to use the Netopia DSL modem at the remote side for IPT's other than putting it in bridge mode and installing a router ??

That is how I did it last time I ran into a Netopia. I can't say if that was the model, but the entire Netopia would reboot or freeze up as soon as I connected an IPT.

Yep , thats what this did. So all I need to do is set modem for bridge mode and setup router , anything else ? Is it SPI thats stopping it ? Thats what Toshiba thought

SPI is a possibility. That blocks Toshiba IPTs from registering. It has been a while. I don't rememeber if I tried to disable SPI, or if it was possible on the Netopia.

I set the Netopia modem in bridge mode and installed router and all is good.
