So I'm having an issue making a new system greeting. Im correctly getting into the system administrator mailbox, and press 1 for system greetings (Page c-8 in the program manual). When asked for greeting number I press 2 (night greeting). After that it's supposed to prompt me to review, record, or delete but it doesn't. I hear nothing. If I press 1 2 or 3 it brings me to the menu options just before...aka 1 brings me back to sys greetings, 2 brings me to mailbox admin, 3 brings me to AA config. Any ideas?...bad card?

Right...I feel like a genius. Thanks for the hasty response. Now that I've got you...Im trying to get the voicemail to pick up immediately when in night mode. I programmed the weekly night mode schedule via flash 22. Set all the timers I could locate in the manual referring to night to 00 (hoping it would mean 0 seconds and vm picks up) but I'm not having luck. Also pointed all "no answer" conditions to 440 (voicemail group). Is it something to do with CO line programming?

If you want the voicemail to pick up immediately, you need to program the co's to point to the voice mail group. Keep your day ring locations the same and program night ring to your vm hunt group.
Your FL22 programming will auto switch your day and night. The operator station DND button can manual over ride the day/night ringing.

Thanks for the info Eric. Is the Dial-By-Name feature for station users only or is there a way for outside callers to "browse" for a station name rather than enter an extension number?

Dial by name feature on the phones is only for station users within the phone system. There is a dial by name on voicemail. Depending on the voicemail, it is usually a digit on the voice mail menu which you can define. The dial by name is dependant upon the names you type in the voicemail. This is different from the phone system dial by name feature. I don't think you mentioned which vm you are using.

Sorry, the vm is In-skin flash. 8 port, 6 hour. Thats really what I'm looking for, the dial-by-name on voicemail. Its fairly easy to locate in the manual for the phone system. I've yet to spot it for the VM.

Also, when I listen to the AA prompting, it says for dial by name press 4. I press 4 and it brings me back to the system greeting. I'm sure there's a place to input names correlating with extension numbers. Just don't know where.

I'm pretty sure the dial by name has to be done via laptop, but I'm no VM expert.
