Hi everyone!

I received a PBX (or actually an EPABX as it says on the cover) from a friend of mine that goes by the name of "Extin-2/Extin 2000". I have been able to find one web link showing a similar device:

https://www.allproducts.com.tw/manufacture1/actum/extin-1.html

This thing has 2 CO/PBX lines and 8 extensions with an intercom path of 3. I have a two page photocopy of a brochure which contains the same information as the web link above (Programmable/Easy to install/Fax Connection/Tone-Pulse Switchable/Direct Inward System Acccess and so on).

I setup the device today with an outside line and two phone sets and have been trying to figure out how to use this...

So far, I have been able to find out, that to dial an extension you dial 1 + a one-number-extension and to dial an outside line you dial 9 + the number you wish to dial. If I press # I can hear the hold music from the PBX, but so far I have not yet found out how to get rid of that hold music without closing the phone...

This device is from the early 90's as the main board says "WIT-3000-05 Copyright 1991".

I have done my best to find any site on the Internet with a manual for this, but so far to no avail. There are several sites showing this device under different brand names (eg. Extin, Asicom) whereas all the features are the same as are the physical dimensions (yet no manual!).

I would be really greatful if anyone had any tips for this device. I am mostly interested in knowing if there indeed is a manual available somewhere and if not, how to access the main functions (Speed Dialing, Call Transfer, Hold with music, Ring Type Selection and so on).

Kind regards,

Lonewulf

I have got printed manual (operating instructions) for WIT 1000/WIT 2000/WIT 3000 EPABX. So I can scan it for you if you did not found some other help yet.
Also say, where to put the scanned file (appendices here in this BB are not allowed).

Hi Vladimir!
We have an EPABX Asicom wit 3000 but no user manual or other documentation. You could make a nice gesture by scaning the manual you got. Try post it to http:\\www.mytempdir.com and tell us the link. Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,
Iulian
