Does anyone know if these guys are out of business or anything?? When you go to their website and use their contact stuff for the email...you get the email back so...

I thought they were gone long ago with phone
systems .

Something rings a bell that the the mails were bought out look in old mail posts.

They must be out of business. They used to call me every week. Could not take no for an answer. No calls in months.

Yeah I thought so...I had only heard of Macrovoice...the voice mail so...I had never heard of the phone system until today when someone wanted some service on one. That's good though since they're ready to give it up and buy something new so WOO HOO!!

Wasn't the Macrotel similar and /or shared the samsung small systems?

I service a small (816) one and the samsung 816 manual worked. The local (gone now) samsung dealer had installed it. The sets look just like the samsung 824 displays.

Don't know if this helps --- BUT --- NEW System sounds better.

the mac and samsung 816 are the exact same box but with different chips ,you could change the chips and make one into the other .

the phones are different and i think samsung phones will work on the macrotel.

We sold the old Macrotel Excel 616 that became the Macrotel 816 with changes. Samsung made the 816 private labeled for STC which formerly sold Azusi.

Northern bought the European STC (Standard Telephone Company) and then sold the rights to the 816 back to Samsung as it was competing (hardly) with the Norstar that Northern had brought out.

All Macrotel 816 cards work in both the Samsung and the Macrotel 816 ksus.

If you put Macrotel software in a Samsung ksu and use Macrotel phones it works just fine. Same thing with Samsung software in a Macrotel ksu using Samsung phones.

Macrotel also sold a 512, 1236 and 2464 made for them by Nitsuko in Japan.

They made voicemails the last I heard but haven't sold phones or ksus for a long, long time.
