The decision has been made by management to go from a 99% Nortel telephone network to Cisco. As a result I've been encountering a slew of new issues to troubleshoot.
The latest is a buggy phone system at one location. All incoming calls are directed to one of 6 available buttons on the operators console. The operator answers all the calls and then directs them onward. Now the fun part: sometimes on transfer the call disconnect as the person at the extension picks up, sometimes it transfers fine. The issue doesn't seem to be specific to any line or extension in particular. It will work fine for a few days than just start out of the blue (as per the EU's on site), and then just start working again later in the day. Was going to run a trace, but always seems to work fine when I'm calling in from outside. Just wondering if anyone might have heard of anything similar w/ these phones.

I don't know if you're going to get many responses here but would you keep the board informed as to the resolution of your problem.

Will do. I updated the firmware on the phone earlier today so I'm waiting to have the phone in use a couple of days to see if that corrects the issue.
