We recently installed a BizFon 680 in a field office - we obtained it in working order from another of our field offices.
We don't have the ability to transfer calls on the BizFon system. The installed site has 11 POTS lines - they use a voicemail product called Grasshopper. Grasshopper voicemail assigns its own phone number that points to each telco line. It shouldn't interfere in any way with the Bizfon system.
During the install, the tech had to default the system to reset the lines and extensions - which made the lines "disappear". The tech was able to assigned a line to each employee. All else is working except the transfer function. Is there some magic to this?

I am not familiar with the Grasshopper service, but from a review of their website it really does not look like something that is usually used with a telephone system, it is a "virtual phone system" in itself. The website says that you can do the transfer feature through Grasshopper rather than the system.
I would also run diagnostics on the main Bizfon unit. Press the big blue button and follow the directions that will be spoken.

Your post doesn't make sense! First Bizfon 680 (unless you installed a second module) cannot handle 11 pots lines.
Second, as soon as you boot the system up it will recognize all pots lines with dial tone.
different phones access outside lines and do transfer differently.
re vm. the 680 has build in vm for all ext. plus aa plus info boxes why would you need to add a 3rd party vm?

Hmm, it's been nearly a month since the first and only post. Methinks the OP has either figured it out or done something else....it would be nice to know though.

Yes the magic is in knowing what you're doing.

Yes, they are still around. They market the 680 as well as an VoIP system (8000). We have not sold them in about 8 years though, so I cannot comment on how good the new systems are.
