Hello all,

I was puttering around in the programming of our 9751 the other day and came across a feature called padtrace. When I list it, it returns that no PADs or cards are being traced. There is no mention of this feature in the install manual, the cnfg manual, or the sysadmin manual. Anybody know what it is and how to use it? Dare I hope there is a trace feature code that can be keyed into a set to then find the PAD for that set? My predecessor had a tendency to square entire departments instead of teaching people how to transfer, so finding the equipment for a particular phone can be tedious. Thanks in advance!

The List Padtrace gives you what PADS are being traced from the command Activate Padtrace, here is a printout of the Activate Padtrace

% ACTIVATE PADTRACE (01/020423 0220) <return>
TIME MSTIME PAD CARD ACTIVITY
-------------------------------------------------------------------
01:25:53 8450 01/020423 ATI: REPORTS EVENT=OFFHOOK
01:25:53 1890 01/022002 TTI: GAIN LEVEL CLEARED
as you can see it's more of a diagnostic tool
