Hello all I am having trouble setting up DID numbers using pc pro. Can anyone help!?! I need to (1) route a DID number to a virtual extension (2)Attach a voicemail box to the number (3)have the call ring to the receptionist and if no answer go to its own voicemail. At night I need it to go directly to vm. Thanks in advance for your expert advice...

First, use a web browser as you won't corrupt your database and it's real time programming so you can test right away.
Are you a certified Aspire Tech?

Actually no. I am a network and system admin for a startup company. Our vendor wants to charge an arm and a leg to setup our system the way we need it. I have the manuals and have been able to solve minor problems and set up a test account however I cannot set up the vmail properly

Well, I hate to break it to you but what you are trying to do takes quite a bit of programming believe it or not. Not that you wouldn't be capable if you were trained but, when you start poking around DID numbers in the Aspire you can really do some damage. Just a warning, I would love to be able to help you but in this case I think you might cause a ton of hurt than good. I come from the data side also, and phone systems are a different logic all together.
Good Luck

Does anyone else have any info. I do not have a choice but to set it up myself at this point. I backed up the system so I can always roll it back.

You cant have a virtuals call forwarding change based on a time mode so here is the best you can do. this will ring always.
1. Create the virtual extension in (11-04) this should be in the same range as your extensions usally 301-399 2. Program the extension to call forward to voicemail in (24-06)"Busy/Unanswered to VoiceMail Pilot number default is 700" your might be different. 3. Program the key with the virtual extension in (15-07) Code *03/Additional data = VirtualExt #. 4. Program the key to ring in(15-09)Select operators extension then key number you programed for key in step 3. set it to ring for day mode, or all modes by default DAY mode is mode 1, and Night Mode is 2. 4. Check your DID table sizes in (22-10) example table 1 = 1 - 100 table 2 = 101 - 200 then check which one is day and which is night (22-13) tables are assigned to modes there. 5. Check if the DID is already programmed in (22-11) find it in both modes "all the tables not just one!" 6. If you find it change the Target Number to the Virtual extension number. 7. If you don't find it you must add it to your tables(22-11) under Recieved number(Item 1) check your other DID's Recieved number to see how many Numbers your system is looking for. then do the same with your number DID usally last 4 digits of number. 8. Test and if working ask for a raise.
Note: yYou might have to press the button with virtual ext programmed on it, if you do and you dont want to have to then you need to do this.
1. Look at (20-06) what class of service is this phone in. for my example lets say 15. 2. Look at(20-10) change the class of service to 15 look at Item 8 change that to ON. this will do the trick.
