im new on the NEC (usally NORTEL) what is involved in using the DTU 8(DTU-8D-2) button and 16(DTU-16D-2) buttons phones on the electra pro I

on a level 1 the 1st set of buttons are the lines (depends on how many lines are programmed). whatever is left are feature access buttons and can be used for various things.

ok and what about changing the jack terminals so they will work etc etc and does any one have a manual for this sytem in .PDF my email is [email protected] i just took over this sytem and trying to find as much info as i can

ive heard that the etw phone use the black/yellow pair and the DTU use the red/green im going to have to move this system just gathering info

yes u are correct, the etw phones use the data pair(white/orange pr) and the dtu use the tip and ring pair(white/blue)
