Is there a way to make a systemwide change to force DND to forward to Voice Mail? Currently, when a user sets DND it causes the extension to ring busy.

Many thanks!

Keith

Are you using Intra mail?

Just looked it up in that manual. It says no. It is a true DND key not a forward to VM key. If someone else has the answer to that I would love to hear it though because it WOULD be a nice feature enhancement.

The DND button on the DS and the DXS with Intra mail forwards the calls to voice mail

I know but the same engineers design all three switches and I would think they design the newer Aspire to do this. I might be wrong, I'm just trying to open some eyes since I don't know this system. We are installing a IPK II tomorrow with Inmail, and since its using the same sofware as the Aspire and Inmail is the same as the Intra mail one of the first things I will try is the DND.

They are the same but they aren't. It's weird but they don't program really the same. Th DS and DSX series are closer to the Onyx.

CT is right, even in the Aspire and the old I series the DND button is just what it says " Do Not Disturb", if you are using DID via PRI or Analog DID you can set 22-11-06 as the secondary target and then if the DND button is set it will go to V mail.

What Tip&Ring said is correct. But the easy way out is just to give them a key that is a FWD to VMS key.
