I haven't tested this yet but I guess I am after the quick answer. With regard to paging on the DSX...I know you can place extensions into zones, and the Page ALL gets you extensions and External. Is there a way to select (or zone) just the external?

I can't remember off the top of my which is which. If you are just trying to page external and not through the phone speakers, I believe you can just clear the "allow paging" in the speaker options for the extensions.

I've never been asked to do that, so I could be wrong.

If you are using a display set, you will see two "zones" displayed....assign accordingly.

I had never been asked to do it this way either. Tech support responded quickly with this, which worked very nicely...As it turns out, default page zone is 0 (all page). External page is zone 1. So if you put all extensions in zone 2, you can page all sets (zone 2), just external (zone 1), or both (zone 0, or ALL). The MT11 and MT12 can be pressed for a meet-me page. I thought I was going to have to get a PGDAD doodad!

piece of cake. I program a speed dial or feature button for intercom *11. That code accesses the external page only. works great.
