I have an Aspire S with system software 7.32. Installed IntraMail and it seemed to work fine at first. Then without any other symptoms, sometimes at the end of a prompt, sometimes at the beginning. ( same with message playback ) there is a loud hissing noise ( like a radio station if you tune off station at a high volume ). It stops after a bit, but you've missed the prompt audio. Could the flash card have gone bad? If so can I use a standard compact flash card and the IntraMail utility to "make" a new one? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your response crisco3. I was hoping to finish this myself. No one has seen this problem before?

Sounds like you have a bad IntraMail card. These cards are secure, so you cannot just copy the files to a standard compact flash card. I recommend you contact NEC and ask to have it replaced.

For future reference you can use the Intramail utility to initialize the card and reload all the prompts. But if it's under warranty I would get a replacement.
