I am running an NEC Aspire system. I have a 22 button phone that is displaying "Message 14" at the top and for the life of me I can not figure out what this setting is, or if it is an error code. Any help appreciated

Sounds like the phone turned on a message or was messaged. Try pressing the clear button and see if that works otherwise www.necaspire.com has all you manuals and end user tutorials to clear that.

Its whats called a Selectable Message that was accidentally enabled. Press the Call 1 button and dial *43 to cancel. Good luck.

Thank you! That is exactly what it was, the selectable message. We haven't used that in the office on purpose. Also thank you for the link to the manuals, very helpful
