Have a Dr that is looking to be able to rip all his CD's to disk and use them to drive his 4 channel overhead music in the rooms. He doesn't need amps, it's already built into the distribution, just 4 different sources.
My first thought is to just buy 4 different Nettop PCs networked to a NAS, that way he can have 4 different genre's sending to their respective channel.
However, is it possible to do this from one PC? Perhaps with USB audio? Not sure how the software would work though...
Any other thoughts?

Why the heck is it that everybody thinks a computer is the solution to everything?
For less than the cost of sound cards and software you can get four MP3 players and put 1024 tracks on a USB thumb drive for each.
And again, tell the doc that he needs to pay royalties. He doesn't pull teeth for free, artists don't create and perform for free either. Just because he bought those CDs he doesn't have the right to use them in his business!
