Anyone know how to make the phones message waiting light to flash when the person has messages in the SOHO? Currently all stations flash all the time. WinAdmin 1.17 DKT3010-SD phones Toshiba CTX100

Wait... I found a FAQ on this.
Make sure all voicemail ports are connected to physical extensions. As a default Amanda will always use the highest available port and work backwards. If all ports are connected to the telephone system, try calling each port directly to make sure they're working. If their all answering properly, try dialing the appropriate DTMF digits from Amanda's last port manually to see if you have the right dial string. If you cannot disable the MWI on the telephone set manually, check the telephone system programming and or call the manufacturer of your telephone system for assistance. If you can disable the MWI manually, check Amanda's notify method string to make sure it's correct (and that the type is set to PICKUP).
* If you have an Amanda@SOHO
Make sure port 4 is connected to your telephone system and working properly. Make sure you selected the correct telephone system from the printed documentation. After selecting the telephone system you MUST reboot the SOHO for the change to take effect. Try monitoring the notify port with a test set, does Amanda attempt to disable the MWI?

Do the message waiting lamps go off ever after all messages are deleted from the box? Could you have MW for other phones and not the voicemail? What does the display on the phone say after all vm messages are erased on a phone's mailbox?
The last code for Soho was 253 for the DK40/424.
I put in a newer Flash Soho and the parameters were not OK with the 100 and the Amanda tech and I spent over an hour to get most, not all, issues resolved.
Never throw out your Soho when the HD dies and you can't find a replacement. I have a fix for that and a heavier duty power supply that doesn't die.
Sorry if I found commercial, but the Amanda@Soho was the easiest to program, nicest voicemail I've ever seen and the voice board almost never ever gets a bad port and they can last longer than the phone system they are used with.

After clearing all messages and WM, lights are under control, but not always connecting to VM when the msg button is pressed. Intermitantly, when busy no answer, my extension does not get passed to VM, but instead goes to the SOHO main menu. One hr with SOHO support didn't improve, but will get back with me after researching CTX. I am using SOHO code 253. Did you edit any configuration files on the SOHO to get it CTX compatibile? Or did you make changes in the CTX settings?

I thought so.
I haven't tried it with an old SoHo, I had a newer SoHo with flash memory. Made the changes on the new flash.
In the CTX under stations you should have the forward set to 1 and your mailbox id as your extension. This should work all the time unless you have a SoHo that is getting old and tired.

Thanks! I have a new SOHO flash, as well. I'm working in another state this week, but I'll keep in contact with SOHO support for those new compatibility strings. And check to see that all stations programmed well.

With the new SoHo flash they can modem into it without an external modem, just have the calls ring to voicemail or transfer it.
