I have a Repartee Voice Mail for Windows V2.5.08 and I'm trying to get the fax mail to work. My question is how do I get Repartee to notify a user of an incoming fax and then route it? I can see faxes saved in the public folder as a .TIF file.

Is this for an individual? If so, in the user mail box there is a tab for Fax. You can designate a fax box extension there. If you have a DID pointed to the voicemail the system sees it is a fax, and sends it to the correct mailbox. You will need to install ViewFax or ViewMail on the computer of the person you want receive the fax. That is the easiest way.

It's for an individual as we are not ready to unleash it to all users. I have DID 2 lines (9712 & 9713) designated for the fax ports. When dialed they answer and receive the fax. They are not transfer to the destination fax box however I do receive a voice mail that a fax was attempted and to check with the sysadmin as to why it wasn't delivered. When a user call the desiginated DID (xxx-xxx-xxxx 41213)the system accepts it but no delivery happens. I have viewfax installed and it's working as for as I can tell.
The Fax Tab for the subscriber looks like this; Personal Fax Box: Active System ID: 41213 Owner: Britman, Ron Voice Name:----- Greeting. 00:00:00 Introduction 00:00:00

I think I see where you may have it incorrect. In the users mailbox, there is a fax tab. I would put the fax ID there. when a fax is sent to the DID it will automatically be answered by his mailbox and see CNG tone. The fax will show up in his Viewfax.
Don't use the Routing Box/Fax Box option.

Well I still can't get this thing to work. Looks like I will have to call in help. I'm sure the small disconnect will be found in no time by a trained Repartee Tech.

Try in the fax Tab to copy one second of silence in the greetings field.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right area?
I have a Repartee 7.47 voicemail running on OS/2 Warp v4 and am receiving the following error message on 2 out of 8 voicemail ports M188-1. At the bottom of the screen the full message displays Database Error (M188-1) (E2--2) (D56832). I have backed up the complete database, prompts, etc just to be on the safe side.
If anyone has any info on what this means or what needs to be done to resolve this error any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris Pickens

It is a dialogic error. There isn't much you can do with it unless you can do a backup wipe the box and start fresh. make sure you have all the disk to the voicemail before you do this. Sometimes you can do a e://voiceserver.exe/dbchk /f that will do a database check for corruption. DBchk is the checking part and /f is the fix. sometimes you have to run this twice for it to "fix". If the problem still persist after the dbchk, you will have to do the first part. Sorry for the bad news.
