Have any of you ever seen an Adtran CSU do the following?
This is a Point to Point connection. I have them connected with a Adtran TSU 120. I have 17 channels dedicated for Data and 7 channels dedicated for Voice(DSX port). problem being Intermittently the DSX port will drop off line or cause some crazy stuff to happen to our PBX. We have a Vodavi XTS and XTSc networked together on the 7 channels of voice. I swapped out one and am in the process of watching to see if it happens again to take the one that i pulled out and put in place on the other side. I double and triple checked everything on the PBX pri cards and also in the Config on the Adtran. Meanwhile the data has no issues! Just wondering if any of you have seen this?

Yep, I have a site with the same exact problem. It usually happens after a power outage where the P-P PRI channels don't come back up. I have to call into the node system and restart the PRI card to get them back. It never causes anything to go crazy in the node; they just lose inter-office capability.
We did go ahead and buy a UPS just for the TSU120 and it has gone from going out every week to every month or two. I do recall that there was an issue with the bit stuffing option on the TSU120. You have to disable and enable it again (or vice-versa) on both units and it seems to stabilize them. That advice came directly from Adtran's technical support and it seemed to work for another problem site.

That's basically what is happening at our sites but there hasn't been any power outages. What i thought would help is in the XTS programming in Flash 40 the restart PRI trunk parameter but that didn't seem to help and neither did the Flash 09 restart OOS card parameter. This happened to me last night and i uprgraded the switch software to 2.22.3 because vodavi said there was some new hard code things added for the networking portion of the code. But wala 11:30 next day here we go again. Node and hub can't talk. I switched out 1 of the TSU's to see if it is that and if it still happens i am going to put the one i had pulled at the other site and replace it. It's driving me crazy!

You might want to take a walk on the wild side and turn on the maintenance function under flash 06, button 24. This causes all cards to be "realigned" regularly which might help.

Stupid question but have you set the timing on the adtrans to master and slave?
