Got a customer with a Polycom wireless soundstation, they have a large conference room and are complaining about low volume and the caller not being able to hear them.

Polycom does have the option to add mics to a certain version that would solve half the problem. Does anyone know of a unit that can extend the speakers out?

Or does anyone recommend a better brand than Polycom?

Polycom can have some expansion mics added to them - well some models can. Polycom is kind of the "Gold Standard" in the US for analog conference telephones. If you have the option for VoIP your solutions can open up to several other great SIP conference telephones.

They do have IP extension ports on the system, it's an ESI. i know there are optional mics on one of the Polycom Soundstation versions, but they're also complaining about the speaker volume/quality. We have a Panasonic kx-nt700 that I'm going to install there temporarily and see if it sounds better.

The Polycom IP7000 can be linked to a second IP7000 unit and act as one. That doubles your coverage both for mics and for speakers.
