By the way what software versions of the dsu support impact phones?

The software cartridges for the DSU (black cabinet) were either an S or I followed by the size of the KSU, i.e. I1632 was for all Digitech and Impact phones The S was only for Digitech phones.

Release 12A revision E and Later supported Impact phones on the DSU, all of DSUII.
Release 10A revision E and Later supported Digitech phones
Release 13B revision (E on GO408 systems, G on GO616 systems, and H on G1632 systems) and later supported the Americom phones.
Release 16A revision (E on GO408 systems, G on GO616 systems, and H on G1632 systems) and later support the Scout phone
Release 18A revision (E on GO408 systems, G on GO616 systems, and H on G1632 systems) supported Impression phones
Release 20A revision (E on GO408 systems, G on GO616 systems, and H on G1632 systems) suported the new Impact SCS phones.

The expansion units are identical, you can use the old GM-408 on the DSU-II's and the JM-408 on the old DSU.
