Trying to set up phone paging across the span of a Networked FXII connected with a pt. to pt. T-1. Have the CO cards that were suggested but found that paging was not for internal use but for external paging. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Comdial had a bulletin on this. I'll see if I can find it. Otherwise, try and search for it on the CCC. Look for FX000009a(1) under FAQ/Tech Tips for FXII. Yeah, we saw those and purchased the co cards to make it work. Come to find out it is more for an overhead paging to a paging system and not paging through the phones. We tried to set up a co key but it just turned red and didn't ring the phone or announce over it. Thanks though!

What about tying an IST port to a C.O. Port and using DISA? Then you call the IST extension, access DISA dial tone, dial your codes, and page over the phones. ------------------ | Signal Communication Systems - Fresno, CA | | Telephone Systems, Voicemail Syste... & Data Cabling - Central Valley, CA

If all you want to do is page at one site at a time you can pump the ist dial tone into the co port, and build route tables to reach that specific line port at each node. When you hit the co port you will have intercom dial tone and all you need to do is dial 70 for an all call.

Cool, they want to be able to page from either site to the other, I am sure though that they will ask about an all page but if we can set this up for now, that will be awesome. Ya'll have been a HUGE help. Will try these solutions this week. Thanks again!

Comdial does not send any type of disconnect to the co port. You may find the port is locked up due to it not getting a disconnect signal. ------------------ BIGDOG3c PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. We tried this, from the node we dial 9 then 1187, on the node and hub we have the CO ports set for Aux. At the Hub end we tied a single line port (ext. 5570) to the CO port. On the Node side when we do the paging, we can hear the single line intercom dial tone. Tried to dial 70 but it didn't do anything. But, if we dial a cell phone number it will dial out. Any thoughts?
