We use Comdial 6706X-PG revision M key sets
Black box on wall is a NO616 Revision K

Sometimes when all three lines are in use conversation bleeds through the lines and makes talking and listening difficult.

Is there a troubleshooting procedure I should follow to determine whether the problem is with our system or Verizons switching office in town? We are out in the brush, in barbed wire bell country!
Thanks,
Steve E

Connect single line telephones directly to the interface with the inside wiring seperated at the interface. Make calls on the bell side where the single line sets are connected and see if get the cross talk, if you do it's bell.

Any good telephone tech can do this test for you, even bell if you trust them.

It could be one phone set causing the problem. Try and find a pattern in when it happens.
Have you narrowed it down to one of the three lines that cause the problem?
Like Mark K said, your telephone service provider would have a test set{s} to connect to the D-mark to try and dupicate the problem. If it doesn't happen at the D-mark it would be in your wiring/phone jacks /patch cords or a bad phone set.
Try and disconnect all the phones you could do without and troubleshoot that way.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Why can't people just get along?

Sorry Xper, but it is highly unlikly to be a tele set on a system like this. All switching is done in the ksu, the telephone is a dumb terminal.
X talk is likely on the co side, on rare occasion, the ksu could have bad co ports, not likely a phone, or phones causing this on this system. It could be a bad crimp on the rj14 mod end feeding the lines into the system though. I'll bet it's the telco provider.
