I have a DX-80 w/ Flash Voicemail. My problem is that fairly frequently when someone calls in, just prior to hearing the main greeting message, a split-second's worth of another message is played. So basically a caller hears ringing, a blip of a message, and then the main greeting plays. I've called Comdial/Vertical about this and they had no idea as to a solution; same goes for the people we purchased the unit from. Any ideas?
Also, we're not quite sure of the source of the errant massage fragment, but it appears to be whatever the last message played for the previous caller was. So if you were to call in and hear the blip, the last thing heard by the previous caller is what gets replayed for you. We also don't think this is a problem for anything other than the Main Greeting either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

I've worked on this issue several times, it is only about a half a second and is just an annoyance. Sometimes the weekly defrag clears it. I've also reorded the greeting in a different bin, if it's playing greeting 0 rerecord and use greeting 1. Sometimes nothing seems to work and then it just goes away. I can never tell what piece of what file it's playing either and it hasn't shown up on the trace when I've tried to track it. If there is a real fix I don't know what it is, if you figure it out post back and enlighten me.

Hi guys.
I've also notices on DX-80 w/Flash that sometimes you will hear a little blast of the music on hold before a ring... Not sure if this is related or if that's what you're hearing.
I am searching for another answer, regarding nights. I'll post a topic.
Good luck!

No that's normal if the transfer is to a UCD group, it actually puts the caller on hold for a very brief 2 seconds or so and they hear the MOH. Another annoyance. Or as I like to call it, an "undocumented feature". Mark
