Greetings,
I am not a Comdial vendor.
I have a customer that has a DXP (I think). He is under the impression that new parts cannot be purchased for his system anymore. Is this true?

He is a bit spooked and this is holding up a sale for me (other telecom equipment) because he is now thinking that he needs to buy a new phone system rather than throw money at his current system - especially if 6 months from now he cannot get station cards or other parts when he needs them.

Thanks,
dc

While it's true that the DXP dates back to the late 1980's, there is still quite a large amount of used/refurbished product out there. No, it's not a current Comdial product, but a pretty solid system.

There is plenty of dxp equipment available. Your client is haunted unnecessarily. Happy Holloween.

There are many vendors available that stock DXP material. At one time King Technologies was going to manufacture/sell the DXP. You can also find DXP material at telbroker.com.

Yea Sundance carries the DXP cards and phones and will most likely stock them for the next 5 to 10 years and probably longer..The DXP is fairly reliable...a lot of them have been in service for 15 plus years and still chugging along. That should tell him something right there.

Ok thanks guys.
This helps a lot - although he is is a bit leery of used parts. He was especially worried when he found out that Vertical Networks bought Comdial after they went into Bankruptcy a couple of years ago.
