Everyone-
We upgraded to 17F on our FXII about a week ago. Since then, our alarm panel has not been able to send out alarms/restores/tests (which is in Ademco Contact ID - DTMF). I recorded the call as it left the switch over the T1, and the DTMF sounds muffled. Has anyone had any weird DTMF issues after going to 17F? If it makes a difference, we have channels on 2 different IST cards that do the same thing.
You'll need a media player like VLC to play it - it's in Ogg Vorbis. https://code0.net/~jcbailey/4801-18888160527-1208193629.ogg

Are they dialing 9 to get an outside line?

Nope. It's primed to line - it was working just fine until the 17F upgrade which is odd. I don't remember anything DTMF related in the release notes. It's also weird that the DTMF sounds "muffled".
BTW, when listening at the jack, the DTMF is fine.

I have a large number of 17F installs and have never heard of this issue. You went from 17D to 17F?

17B to 17F actually. I was incorrect stating 17D in my previous posts - I just checked the last database backup before the upgrade to make sure.

Check the status of "Thru Dialing" on the station programming.

I may be wrong but isn't there something about the version of the ist board being used. What is the model number of the ist board and rev level.I will go back and see if I can find something. You will also want thru dialing turned on.

I think the real issue here is, Why are the alarm lines On the phone system?
might want to hook them up the way they were designed to be, ahead of the phone system, using RJ31 jacks..
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

ADT approved having both lines go through the switch. Why, I don't know. They can't be connected ahead of the switch since there are no analog lines at the site - only a T1. I'm proposing a iGSM IP/GSM backup for when the panel gets replaced (should be sometime this year).
