Hello,
this is what I am doing, not sure if it is correct
The customer has 5 lines, and when you pickup a handset you automatically get outside dial tone
ICOM **1 location - I hit a PFK on the right side for line, I press 0 then I dial the # 1708423xxxx then I press speaker
but when I try to use that button I get a slow busy
any help would be appreciated, I have invested way too much time into this already
matt (at) bev-comm.com
thank you!

It sounds like the PFK is already programmed to be something else and needs to be "blanked" first.

I am pretty sure we blanked them, I will try again.
If we press the button, whether on hook, off hook, or in intercom it doesn't do anything
re-blanking now..

QUick question, how do I do this to a phone without a display? I have a feeling this system is going to be thrown out the window soon!

Try putting a display phone in it's place--program the key--then put the non-display back.
