How does the voicemail menu (ie 1010) know from a did (mmc714) which prompt to use. For example. What tells menu from company a to play autoattendant prompt 1010 when x number is dialed, and to play company b message prompt 1011 when y number is dialed? We are currently using an iDCS500Mr2 and a smvi-16e.

It knows from the direct trunk menu in the svmi. You may need to change the take input from CID to FWDID then point the exact match of didgits sent over the PRI or T1 to the menu of your choice. You can only do this for the default menu or if you want a different message at night you will have to do the day and night seperate.

done, done, and done, works perfectly. Is there a decent smvi manual out there??? Perhaps with more than 3 paragraphs on the entire card.

Oh sure there is. There is a full technical manual on the svmi16e. Not for the public though to download. If you want PM me your email and I'll send you one if you'd like. Be aware though the technical manual is for Samsung trained techs so I'm not responsible if you use it and mess something up!!! J/K.
