We have iDCS500mr2 and smvi16e. Two companies on one system. I programmed a system button for remote pickup which works fine. However in practice, users are confused as to who the incomming call is directed. Is there a way to program two remote pickups, one for one incomming number(s) and the other for another set of incommings. (We receive 4 digits from a pri)

You can use a Direct pickup key though if the same member is in both groups then it does nothing for you. If I knew more about the application I could help you. Say one set of DID's rings one group of phones and a different set of DID's rings a different group of phones you could put a different virtual extension in each group and assign two direct pickup buttons one for group one and the other for group two. Only problem is I don't beleive the direct pickup button works for virtual extensions or for a phone that isn't plugged in. Give me some more info and maybe I can help.

Thanks, here goes.... One block of did's is for company A and one block of did's is for company B. When calling either company the caller is sent to the respective autoattendant. Each of the auto attendants give the caller choices. 0 for operator, 1 for sales and 2 for custserv. In mmc601 groups are setup for each department. The companies are small and this problem arises, --at times no one is at their desk in the sales department, the customerserv office can not always hear the phone ringing in the sales dept, therefor they don't remote pickup and the call goes to vm possibly losing a sale. so... to complicate things. We would like the seaparate co's to be able to pick up a ringing phone, but for only their company. ie. acctdept in co A can pickup for sales in company A; or sales in co. B can pickup for custserv in company B.

Quite simply why don't the personal mailboxes start with:
To place an order if I am not at my desk, please dial 0.
Then the rest of the personal message.
If the person calling won't dial 0, they didn't want to buy anything anyway, one digit is not torture.

I'm old and slow and I don't have a chance anymore.
I'm going to go get drunk and sit on the washing machine.
