I have a client with a DCS (3 DLI's, 1 T1, 2 TRK cards, I believe), looking for a voice mail/ACD system - can anyone recommend a good, easy to administer system for me to install for them? I'm much more familiar with Nortel products than Samsung...but I do have a decent amount of experience with KSU/AA/ACD's in general.

Thanks!

Well they do make an AA card for that DCS system. You can put an SVMi-8e in that system but you will need to upgrade it to the latest software and that is a big time hassle.

You're probably going to have to add an expansion cabinet to add voicemail. The SVMi series is good and made by Samsung so it integrates very well.Any other PC based and you will need some sli ports to support it.

it is better to go with the svmi-8, not the
svmi-8e because of integration problems, i installed an 8-e and had numerous problems, replaced it with a regular svmi-8 and it works fine

SOMETIMES, that is sometimes, you can use pcmmc software to download the system software, then change the chips, and upload again. You cannot trust that PCMMC will work.

At least if you download it, you will have a record of what the programming was so you can put it back in by hand.

You have to get the PCMMC for the version that is in there now and then maybe intermediate steps to get the latest s/w for which Samsung charges $500 but can be found elsewhere.
