Shawn, Have you tired the Motarola Q with EVDO? That's the phone we use here in our office, we all have the data package as well. Just curious. I wanted to try it myself but after hearing what you've gone through I don't want to risk corrupting my phone.

It won't corrupt the phone so much as the program just won't run, or will have issues. So in essence it is just wasting drive space on your phone. I did try a Q, and it fails install saying that the device isn't supported for the program. EDIT: Oh, and by the way: TRAITORS! Using Motorola phones... tsk, tsk

Shawn,
I have a Samsung Softphone working on a Samsung Omnia Smartphone, (SGH-i9000 in GSM markets, it runs Windows Mobile V6.1).
It works reasonably well, and I am told by Samsung Ausralia that the Omnia is one of their supported platforms going forward.
I have also been promised a Mobex Application running on the Omnia, but dont know when.
Why do Samsung always give different stories to different markets?

Personally i's just use the OS Connect (Mobex) Feature.
I've had the PDA application working but NOT on a smartphone. Tend to use a SIP Client on smartphone if OS connect wont suffice.
