We installed a 7200 and have this weird issue. Perhaps some of you can offer some input to correct this. There are multiple phones that are having the following issue. If the users are on the phone, when someone does a page, they will hear the page in their handset/headset. They then no longer are able to hear the outside caller they were talking to. The outsite caller can hear them. They can place that caller on hold, then pick them back up to re-establish the connection. They have one phone (customer is testing the others) that is not in the page group that is even having this issue. I verified this extension is in none of the page groups and it is listed as none in MMC 108 as well for paging. There is an extension that, while on hook, other people in the facility can hear what is happening in the phone. The phone appears, for all intents and purposes to be on hook. This is random. The problem is, this is an HR person. I have moved this individual to another port on another card in the past, it seemed to take care of the issue, but it came back after the customer auto set relocated an extension.
Any ideas?

I've had this problem also after a customer used the MMC to relocate Extensions in a 7200. I also moved the extensions to new ports which would solve the problem until the customer would swap extensions again. I changed out the DLI Card, but still had the same problem.
I defaulted the system and uploaded a backup that was made before the extension swaps, then moved the extensions on the punch block. I haven't had any problems since.
I not sure if there would have been a better way to fix it, but it does seems to be associated with MMC 315.

Yeah, ive seen set relocation do some crazy stuff. I will never use it again. Can you take a default db and set relocate then reproduce or is this only happening in a very specific scenario?

I have come across both these issues. In the uk the euro type handsets are not supported for use on 7000 series systems. Usually there won't be a problem but these are the most common faults which occur. The only way to resolve it is to upgrade to the new type handsets.

Leemc1978,
You bring up a VERY good point. I didn't think about the handset type because Samsung explained all systems are backward compatible. The customer upgraded from a dcs400 to a 7200 and retained all their old 12 and 24 button handsets. I'm curious if that's the problem?
Any ideas on how I can get clarification on this? I'll contact my Samsung Authorized Distributor and see what they come up with but I specifically recall asking this question when the "New" OS7200 rolled out. Perhaps something changed and/or was discovered like the PS issue on the 100's. I suppose it's possible.
Thanks again for that good input.

12 and 24 button keysets work with the 7000 series as long as the keyset version is 1.7 or higher

The problem that you have is 100% software not hardware. Contact Samsung T/S for the fix or when it's avalable. I do know that the 7400 does not like the 1.7 version, not sure about the 7200

Cracker,
Thanks for the reminder on how to determine what version of software the phone is using.
I'm referring to the General Description Guide that states the Required Software release for the DCS phones functioning on the 7200.
Do you have the GD that states 1.7 is required and/or Product Bulletin? I don't recall receiving one.
Cheers
