TEPRI is your T1 connection for trunks MGI is the Media Gateway Interface for Remote IP SVMi-8 is Samsung VoiceMail Interface 8 port, although it only comes with 4 as standard and expands to 8 MCP2 is the Main Central Processor
I would advise that you contact your local support service before doing anything, too many times I have seen the end results of people making system changes only for it to all end in FAILURE. Before doing anything at least do a system backup with OSM.

Thanks for that information.
Do you think just by changing the IPs under System parameters, MGI and SVMi-8E could completely mess up the system? I really would like to get this domain switched over this weekend (i have been working on it for almost 2 months) and if i call the support people, i am sure they will charge an arm and a leg for weekend service when all i have to do is change a few IP addresses.
I will do a system back-up before the IP change.
How could the whole system fail from IP changes? The system doesn't seem to point to any working servers, the voicemail system hasn't sent email to anyone's email boxes in a very long time, and we only have one remote user.
Samsung Tech NZ; your reply does make me very concerned about doing this, but what are the chances of just changing IPs, crashing the entire phone system?

Sorry, I didn't want to sound alarmist, I am pleased that you are concerned because alot of people would just do it and worry about any problems later. The system will NOT fail by changing the IP addresses, at worst the remote IP user and email part of the voicemail wouldn't work, from what you say, the voicemail doesn't seem to send e-mails anyway. If you are also going to be changing the MCP2 IP, just remember the system will need a restart for this change to take affect. In saying that, please remember to halt the SVMi-8 in MMC7xx. Once again, I am sorry if I unduly upset you, hope all goes well for you.

Well guys thanks for the help, the least of my worries after this domain change over has been the phone system, although tonight the one VoIP phone that we have connects over a Linksys VPN router and connects fine and even can get calls. but you can't hear anything on it, but the other person can hear me fine. I am sure it has something to do with port settings, just not sure where. any ideas?
