I know I probably should have two posts but problem 1: The packet driver doesn't seem to work.
82559 packet driver -- -- Packet driver for Intel EtherExpress(tm) PRO/10 & PRO/100B PCI, vers 11.10 Supports: PCI. Portions written by Morien W. Roberts; A PCI BIOS is required for this driver. Packet driver skeleton copyright 1988-96, Crynwr Software. Licensed by Intel for distribution without complete source.
I noticed the system is ISA based, could this be the problem?
System: [345]86 processor, ISA bus, Two 8259s Packet driver software interrupt is 0x60 (96) Interrupt number 0xA (10) I/O port 0x1000 (4096) My Ethernet address is 00:00:F0:E8:0D:EF
At the socket command section I'm unable to create a TCP/IP socket.

I can't go into detail in the "public" forum, but did you set a static IP for the voicemail?
Also... how are you trying to connect to the voicemail? You cannot connect via ethernet until you change the IP address. (Unless you know the default IP address for the SVMi.)

editip doesn't allow an IP address to be entered. The packet driver doesn't seem to load and, of course with no packet driver, no IP. The hardware is being recognised, My Ethernet address is 00:00:F0:E8:0D:EF, being the MAC address

There must be something different between the US version and your version. I've never used "editip" to configure a voicemail.
How are you connecting to the voicemail?

Thanks, WRichey, I did a a DIR and couldn't see the file but it did appear when typed at the command line, maybe a hidden file on mine. I have found the full instructions for it's use also.

I have been able to backup for a few weeks now and I'm now using VNC to backup after hours. Very happy now. I'll pass it over to the IT section to automate the backup.
