500 rel2. version L2.69.

i installed dataview on friday. and set up the ucd.
i tested it all out (but i guess not good enough) but today they called and was having dropped calls to the ucd group. what can i check?

here is his email to me:
We have a very high abandon rate as the callers never enter the queue properly. Basically if all agents are busy the next caller only hears ringing, then our system drops them. They never hear the music or announcements. So far we’ve had 47 drops today (not good).

the other issue is that they have more than 1 call button and they wanted me to turn the auto-logout on. so if they are on a call and another one comes in to them it shows up on their other call button (i guessing on this as i wasn't there). so should i take off the other call buttons?! and would this have anything to do with the other issue they are having?

i can email (or post to a web site) their database if needed.

Hi, this should really be addressed in the installers forum where we can get into more detail, but for now, what are you using for the announcements, ie AA or SVMi? There are lots of things to check, and looking at the database would be easier, you can PM me if you like. I have a few OS500's 2.69 with UCD groups using AA cards and 1 with DataView.

i made a change to it today to see if it would matter.

instead of the did number going to the ucd group i pointed it to the aa group instead.

the guy there will try it out tomorrow to see if will make a difference or not.

BUT i would still like to know what is wrong with the ucd group to make it dump callers.

The good news is that a real ACD is not too far off - coming in July-Aug apparently.

Due to the dynamic structure of the board, we are making a few changes. The posts that are being moved from the installer’s section to the open forum have been deemed viewable for the public. There are a few caveats to these moves that also pertain to any future topics that you may decide to help with.
1. When posting a possible answer we request that you state facts not opinions.
2. When posting do not include any proprietary information.
3. When posting use this theory; provide information on what to do and not how to do it.

An example would be; in order for you to use the return call feature from the caller ID display. You need to use the least cost routing feature.

A bad example would be; in order for you to use the return call feature from the caller ID display. Go to mmc XXX and insert the digits needed. Then go to mmc XXX and XXX to activate LCR.

We still encourage the use of the PM feature or email if you plan on providing technical information that is above the user guide or admin programming ability. For the installer that has a technical question you can still use the installer’s category with out fear of your post being moved.

If you feel that a topic should not be in the open forum please make your request known to a moderator for that category. Include a link to the thread and your reasons for the request.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
