Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm working with at Prostar DCS phone system and we came to work one day and the system was behaving strangely.

We have 6 phones in the office and only one of them is ringing now. You can get an outside line on any of the phones but you now have to push 9 to get the outside line.

What we need is for any of our 4 lines to ring on all the phones, and to be able to get an outside line on any of the phones as well.

I'm already aware how to get into the programming but once I get there, there's so many options, that I'm totally stumped.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Welcome to Tech-talk! welcome

Your system is back to factory default.

What you are trying to do goes well beyond what we support in the open forum. You might want to have your vendor come out and look the system over to determine why it returned to default. If you don't have a vendor any mod or admin can help you via the PM feature.

We called the vendor and unfortunately because the system is out of warranty they won't help us. We even offered to pay them. Then our owner and the vendor owner got in a screaming match and that was the end of any possibility of help from them.

I'm the one who originally installed the system with the help of the vendor after our old one burned up in a fire but it's been over 2 years since I had to mess with it. If someone can kinda point me in the right direction I'm sure it will start coming back to me.

The reason it returned to default was because of a power outtage and unfortunately the battery backup was turned off.

I know how to identify each handset in the system, I just need to know how to make that handset ring and how to bypass the "9" to get an outside line.

Again, any help is appreciated.

As I stated before you will need to take care of this much support via the PM feature. Unless the power was off for more than a day you should not return to default unless the ram card is not properly set.

You can also contact Samsung Tech Support and they will direct you to another dealer in your area. You may also want to mention your experience with the past dealer to see if they can help. 1-800-737-7008
