At the office we have decided to go with our cable internet provider for VOIP phone service and they are coming to install it tomorrow. The problem is all they will do is hook up the modem and supply it with a dial tone. They won't hook it into our phone system for us.
Can someone tell me how to incorporate this into our Prostar DCS system? Is it just a matter of giving the system the dial tone from the modem rather than the regular incoming phone lines? or is there more to it than that?
Mr Richey, you helped me get this system up and running again after it reset itself (Paul from Ohio, I already owe you a case of beer at least lol) if I can't get an answer here, I may try calling you tomorrow if you don't mind giving me a pointer or 2 on doing this.
Thanks in advance!

By the way, we have 3 lines in the office if this helps. I really hope there's a way to do this and we won't have to buy a brand new phone system. I'm not even sure what the cable company is bringing with them and what all I will have to hook up. Any pointer in the right direction would help immensely!

Fire away I will be available for the better part of the day. :thumb:
It will be replacing the cross connect from "bell" over to a block provided by your broadband provider. Yes they will supply the block but not the actual connection.
