We a system where all over sudden the keyphone hangs for a while the dipslay ver 2.2 then just comes normal again by itself. What is the probable cause of this.

Is this just one phone or all of them? If it's just one phone, have you tried swapping out the phone with a known good one?

Tis on all Keyphones, can tell whether its is the 8DLI or PSU. We aonly have one cabinet with TEPRI on slt1, 8Trk on slt2, 8SLI in slt3 and 8DLI in slt8.

Have people reported lines intermittently cutting off?? this is another sign to look for if the PSU is on its way out.

I use a Multimeter and measure the +5v and grd on the p.s. and main board and found the volts were off , i did this on the idcs 100 though, and replaced the caps on 2 systems now.

How good is the mains supply, do you have a UPS or battery backup ?

Thanks for all your brilliant suggestions. I did think it was main power supply and connected Battery backup but still the same. Grounded the unit ans still did solve the problem. It is still starnge to me what is really wrong but I managed to solve the problems. I set mem back up off om MCP2 card and removed all cards from the KSU, powered system without any card, then started step by step inserting and swapping the cards on slots till I got the slot for that the DLI will behave and keyphone boot properly. Funny enough putting DLI on some slot the System did not boot at alli.e MCP2.
This is the arrangement that finally worked. slt1-8trunk, slt2 TEPRI, slt8 8DLI and slt9 8SLI all other slots are blank.
Could it be the KSU?
